We have been using Gorilla brakes for sometime and always been very happy with the products supplied. With my last order I incorrectly ordered a set of Sintered pads for our MTB E-Bikes before leaveing for a tour of the UK. After just a couple rides we were experiencing some problems, I contacted Gorilla brakes who were able to diagnosed the problem instantly and sent a set of replacement pads direct to our campsite. A five star rating doesn't seem quite high enough for the above & bejond support we recieved! Fantastic service & support, thanks to all at Gorilla Brakes we are now able to continue our tour of the UK with fully functioning MTB E-Bikes c/w Gorilla Brakes. Because you previously ran our Enduro Pro Semi-Metallic pads successfully, your rotors have a layer of semi-metallic material embedded in the metal. Sintered pads require a completely clean surface; when they press into old semi-metallic residue, they vibrate violently and cause severe noise and poor performance. They also require a very aggressive bed-in process to work quietly. We want to make this right immediately so you can enjoy your travels. I have used Gorilla’s Enduro Pro (orange) pads front and back and found them to be excellent on my trail bike with SRAM Code RSC brakes. The pads offer a great balance of strong power, modulation, and wear well so I would strongly recommend them compared to the stock SRAM pads and even Galfer Green (which are strong power but seem to wear out quickly).
These orange pads lasted well for more than 10 days of uplifts in the alps and after being disappointed with the power from Code brakes with SRAM sintered pads (compared to my Hopes V4 on my enduro bike) I now find these orange pads have transformed the braking performance and I have not felt under braked with them so I will keep the Codes and use these orange pads.
Note these pads need a decent bedding in process so I cleaned my discs with scotch brite and did a thorough bed in before they developed the great bite and power.
I also tried the Gorilla Racing green on the front brake - these seem to have a bit more initial bite than the orange but were still easy to modulate and power was also very good. I think these are slightly softer than the orange enduro pro pads so I expect they will wear a bit quicker, Although a solid performer, I will opt for the orange pads in future but I didn’t notice a big difference as both are good pads.
I now have some Enduro Pro orange pads for my Hope V4s so will try these - I expect they will perform as well or better than Hope Green but last longer.

That is exactly what the Enduro Pro orange compound is designed for: strong power, good modulation, long wear life and consistent performance on heavy braking setups like SRAM It is great to hear they held up so well through more than 10 days of Alpine uplift riding and transformed the feel of the Code brakes compared with the stock SRAM sintered pads.
You are also spot on about bedding-in. A proper clean of the discs and a thorough bed-in process makes a huge difference before the pads reach their full bite and power.
The Factory Racing green compound does usually give a little more initial bite and a softer feel, while the Enduro Pro orange is the better choice if you want longer wear life, heat resistance and consistent performance on long descents.

Impressed with the stopping power
Thank you for the feedback One thing we always explain is that the actual braking power comes from the hydraulic system itself — the brake pads control how that power is applied through friction and feel. A good compound gives you better modulation, bite, heat stability and consistency, which is why the right pad setup can completely transform how a brake feels on the trail.

Pretty good pads, need a bit of heat to really get them to bite. Overall no complaints.

The Gorilla Brakes Enduro Pro compound is designed as a full race-focused progressive pad, so once a bit of heat builds into the system the friction level increases and the bite becomes much stronger and more consistent, especially on longer descents and heavier bikes.
