Ordered pads a few months ago. Haven’t had Tim to fit them. There list says the pads fit sram rival apex. They don’t. It’s a totally different shape

I’ve been using gorilla pads for a while now and they are great value.
I recently tried a better known brand of pads and they were rubbish in comparison and cost more.

Replaced the standard SRAM brake pads on my new Ribble Allgrit gravel bike. The Gorilla pads are fantastic once bedded in. The braking is smooth and progressive whatever the conditions. The Apex brakes with Gorilla pads is a great combination which gives me complete confidence on any terrain.

Fitted and first test was the glorious gravel South Downs 100k lots of fast downhill and the braking was great !!

Perfect balance of stopping power and low noise. Maybe not the best by Gorilla as a pad for all weathers in deepest depths of winter simply because the less expensive pads make sense for off road riding at that time of year. But from late spring to late summer or a dry autumn they are the best stopping blocks I’ve ever used and I use a lot.

Unfortunately the pads performed really badly. I bedded the brakes in but they still started to squeal really badly. They were that bad that I've had to change to original SRAM pads.

We are sorry to hear you are having issues, but we are a little confused as to why you did not contact us directly when the problem first started so we could help diagnose it properly for you.
One very important thing to understand is that when changing from an organic/resin brake pad to a full sintered compound, the existing transfer layer left on the rotor by the old pads has to be removed and replaced with a new sintered transfer layer. This process takes significantly longer to bed in correctly compared to simply replacing the same compound type.
During this bedding process, noise and vibration can happen if there are inconsistencies within the braking system. Brake pads themselves do not “make noise” — noise is caused by vibration resonance created by contamination, uneven pad transfer, piston imbalance, rotor inconsistencies, alignment issues, or an incomplete transfer layer on the rotor surface.
Sintered pads are a much harder and more aggressive compound compared to organic pads, so they will highlight issues within the system far more than a soft organic compound would.

These pads are designed for SRAM 2-piston systems including Level (MTB) and road/gravel brakes such as RED, Force, Rival, and Apex. If you’re unsure on fitment, just message us and we’ll confirm.
Yes — they fit SRAM Level, Level T, TL, TLM, and Level Ultimate 2-piston calipers. Perfect for trail, commuting, and general riding where smooth, quiet braking is preferred.
Yes — they are compatible with SRAM hydraulic road systems including Rival, Force, and RED, as well as XPLR gravel variants.
Standard resin pads can lose consistency as they heat up. The carbon-reinforced compound stabilises friction, giving you smoother, more predictable braking on longer descents and repeated braking.
Yes — this is one of our quietest compounds. When bedded in properly and the system is set up correctly, they run very quietly. If brakes are noisy, it’s usually due to setup (alignment, pistons, contamination), not the pad itself.
They take slightly longer than standard resin pads. We recommend 15–20 controlled stops from speed to build a proper transfer layer. Once bedded in, braking becomes consistent and stable.
Brake power comes from the brake system itself (caliper, pistons, fluid, rotor size). Pads control how that power is delivered. These improve modulation and consistency rather than just adding aggressive bite.
They perform best in dry and mixed conditions. In heavy rain or mud, performance will be lower than sintered pads. For regular wet or aggressive riding, we recommend Sintered or Enduro Pro.
Noise is almost always caused by setup, not the pad itself. Common causes include contamination, uneven piston movement, poor alignment, or incomplete bedding-in. Once the system is clean and set up properly, these pads run quietly.
