Hey there!
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review for our SRAM Code / DB8 / G2 RE / Guide RE / Motive – Enduro Ceramic Disc Brake Pads. We're glad to hear that they were easy to fit and provide reliable braking power when needed. That's exactly what we aim for with our products!
Happy riding,
The Gorilla Brakes Team
Finally i have brakes that work and are not just quiet, they are silent.
I thought id wasted a lot of money on the RX4s as they have not been any better than the GRX and I have had multiple mechanics try to stop the squealing with no luck. Turns out both compounds of original pads are just junk.
Customer service at GB is 10/10
Thank you for the review really appreciate you taking the time to share this.
Great to hear you’ve finally got the brakes running how they should silent and consistent. That’s exactly what a properly set up system delivers, and it’s good we could help get you there.
You’re not alone with that experience either when everything’s dialled (alignment, pistons, transfer layer), the compound can do its job properly and the noise disappears.
If you ever need anything going forward — setup advice, compound tweaks, or just a second opinion our workshop team is always here.
Enjoy the ride 👍
Great initial bite, bedded straight in. Not tested on a long descent yet but looks promising.
Glad to hear they bedded in quickly and you’re getting a strong initial bite
Just to note, the semi-metallic compound is ideal for general/leisure riding rather than sustained high-heat descents. They’ll feel great in normal use, but on longer, steeper runs you may notice a drop in consistency as temps build.
If you do start pushing into longer descents, our Factory Racing or Enduro Pro compounds are much better suited to handling heat and maintaining consistent braking. If you need a hand choosing, just give us a shout we’ll get you sorted.
