Who we are
Gorilla Brakes supplies high-performance bicycle disc brake pads to riders across the UK and internationally. We focus on one thing: helping cyclists stop with confidence, whether that’s on the daily commute, a weekend trail ride, or the start line of a race.
Built by riders, for safer rides
We’re riders first, and our work is driven by a simple goal — safer, more consistent braking on roads and trails. Gorilla Brakes is the official disc brake pad supplier for HEL MTB Disc Brakes, and our products are designed and tested with real-world riding in mind.
Compatibility without guesswork
Modern braking systems demand accuracy. That’s why we design our brake pads to be fully compatible with many of the most trusted brake manufacturers in cycling.
Our range covers popular systems from Shimano, SRAM, Hope, and Magura, helping riders find the correct pad shape and compound quickly and confidently.
Pads for every discipline
Community, riders, and partnerships
We don’t just sell brake pads — we support riders. We actively invest in the cycling community by sponsoring riders and working closely with people who push their equipment to the limit.
HINE-R Brake System Development
Alongside Gorilla Brakes, we are developing HINE-R, an engineering project focused on the design and development of high-performance hydraulic disc brake systems.
The project explores the mechanics behind braking performance including hydraulic leverage, piston behaviour, caliper stiffness, and heat management. By studying these core elements we aim to better understand how braking systems can deliver stronger, more predictable braking power for modern mountain bikes.
While Gorilla Brakes specialises in high-performance brake pads compatible with systems from Shimano, SRAM, Hope, Magura and others, the HINE-R project focuses on the development of complete braking system architecture.

Sustainability
Sustainability matters to us. Through longer-lasting compounds, responsible material choices, and our Brake Pad Recycling Programme, we aim to reduce waste while helping riders get more miles from every set of pads.
