Prompt delivery, good service, the pads work fine
Hi Ian, thanks for your kind words! We're glad the pads are working well for you. If you need anything else, just let us know!
Arrived next day as promised. Fitted immediately and working perfectly
Hi John, glad to hear the pads arrived quickly and are working perfectly! Thanks for your awesome review.
New pads are spot on for braking, only concern I have is when it’s wet brakes squeal like nails down a blackboard.
Not sure if it’s because they’re new, only Done 50 miles but still **** of a squeak in wet conditions.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the feedback, and I’m glad to hear the braking performance is spot on.
With resin pads, a bit of noise in wet conditions can happen, especially when the pads are still quite new. At around 50 miles they may still be bedding into the rotor properly, and in the wet you can get a temporary squeal as water, grit and road film pass between the pad and rotor.
A few things to check:
Make sure the caliper is aligned correctly and the rotor is running clean through the pads.
Avoid using strong cleaners or bike wash directly on the braking surface, as this can interfere with the transfer layer on the rotor.
After washing or riding in heavy rain, do a few firm controlled stops to put some heat back into the pads and dry the system out.
The important part is that the pads are braking well, so it does not sound like a power issue. Wet-weather squeal is normally vibration rather than the pad itself being faulty, but keep an eye on it as they get a bit more use.
If it continues after a few more rides, send us a quick photo of the pads and rotor and we’ll take a look.
Kind regards,
Lee

Now, whether I’m an idiot or not I can’t be sure; I ride a Cannondale Topstone Carbon with Shimano GRX400 brakes. Is it me but those pads are not compatible with those brakes (‘was sure they’re listed as such).
The pads are in contact with the rotor (pistons are fully retracted).
Hi James,
Sorry you’re having trouble with the fitment.
We have tried to give you a call so we could talk this through properly, but we haven’t been able to reach you yet.
You have purchased the Gorilla Brakes NRS ONE pads. On these pads, the spring is built in as one piece,
If the pads are sitting in contact with the rotor, the spring may need opening up slightly before fitting. This adds more tension and helps the pads sit back from the rotor correctly.
Please remove the pads and gently open the spring section out a little, then refit them and centre the caliper over the rotor.
GRX brakes can also suffer from corrosion or build-up around the pistons, so it is worth checking that both pistons are moving freely and returning evenly.
give our workshop a call on 0800 772 0937 and we’ll talk you through it.
Kind regards,
Lee
