Pads very noisy
Hi Clive,
Thank you for your feedback we completely understand how frustrating brake noise can be.
With SRAM Level / RED / Force / Rival / Apex systems, persistent squeal is most commonly caused by vibration resonance within the caliper. This is often linked to slightly sticking pistons or a small amount of air in the system, both of which can prevent the pads from retracting evenly and create harmonic vibration.
If you’re running our Enduro Pro compound, a light noise when cold or in wet conditions can be normal for higher-performance compounds. However, consistent squeal isn’t something we’d expect once everything is working correctly.
We’ve tried to give you a call and left a message, as we’d genuinely like to get this resolved quickly for you. Our workshop team would be more than happy to inspect the system and eliminate the noise issue. You’re very welcome to bring the bike in and we’ll sort it free of charge.
Please get back in touch when convenient and we’ll take care of it.
Brake pads were to thick so had to sand down alot but were great apart from that
Thanks for your feedback really glad to hear the pads performed well once fitted 👍
All Gorilla Brakes pads are manufactured to exact OEM thickness (around 4 mm including backing plate), so if they feel tight during installation it’s usually due to the brake pistons not being fully reset or the system being slightly overfilled after previous pad wear. This is quite common when fitting brand-new pads.
If you ever experience this again, we’re always happy to help with fitting advice or troubleshooting — just drop us a message and we’ll get it sorted for you.
this will need sorting so please give our workshop a call so we can guide you through it, its a common issue with.
Thanks again for your support 🚵
