Gorilla Brakes recommends NRS ONE for lighter riders and light use. It does not recommend this soft organic compound for e-bikes, enduro, downhill or heavier riders. For e-bike riding, Gorilla Brakes recommends the Enduro Pro and Factory Racing brake pad ranges. Match the pad shape and complete brake setup to your bike and its total load.

Rotor compatibility

This compound is suitable for all bicycle disc brake rotor types, including rotors marked “resin pads only”.

Rotor diameter and thickness must meet your brake manufacturer’s specifications. Check rotor condition and minimum permitted thickness before fitting new pads.

What is different about NRS ONE’s construction?

NRS ONE combines the stainless steel backing and spring in an integrated assembly with two friction pads. This makes the pads easier to handle during fitting. Use the correct model for your caliper and follow the brake manufacturer’s installation instructions.

How do I check that these pads fit my brakes?

One pack contains two friction pads for one caliper, with the stainless steel backing and spring integrated into the NRS ONE assembly. A separate loose pad spring is not supplied. Order two packs for front and rear only when both calipers use this exact pad fitment.

Can I return used NRS ONE backplates for recycling?

Yes. Gorilla Brakes offers £10 credit on your next order when used NRS backplates are returned through its recycling programme. A free return label is available on request. Credit is processed after the return is received; the programme’s conditions apply.

Great company, great product. I purchased some Enduro pro pads and upon running in, found them incredibly noisy. I left a review and was then contacted by the company owner who was calling to see if he could help. Turns out, the brand new rotors I had purchased from Magura are renowned for this. Lee organised an alternative set of pads at no cost. It’s taken me a couple of weeks to get the opportunity to try these out, but I’ve just completed the London to Brighton off road event this weekend with complete silence from the brakes. Can’t recommend this company enough

Second set of these pads now my choice of stoppers. Wore the first set out quicker than normal due to the pads giving increased confidence so instead of looking down a descent and thinking nah forget it I will come a cropper and not stop, I now go you know what go for it I will stop. Bit of a weird thing having better brakes make you go faster and harder as you have the confidence you can stop

The pads sent do not have the cooling fins attached to them as they should with the Shimano M8220/M8200 calipers .
I’ve not tried fitting the ones sent yet but it is disappointing that they are not the correct spec .

The pads are insane, the stopping power and fade resistance is incredible even for myself on an Emtb and being a heavier rider. So easy to fit, literally a 5 min min for the pair. 10/10 and will 100% be getting more when these need changing.
